Can green tee really slim you waistline?

Can green tee really slim your waistline?

Clinical trials conducted by the University of Geneva and the University of Birmingham indicate that green tea raises metabolic rates, speeds up fat oxidation and improves insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerance.

In addition to caffeine, green tea contains catechin polyphenols that raise thermogenesis (the rate at which calories are burned), and hence increases energy expenditure. There is also a suggestion that it can increase endurance in exercise by improving fat metabolism.

Is green tea the perfect weight loss tea? It sounds like that’s what the research is adding up to determine. In any case, a cup or two a day certainly isn’t going to hurt, right? There are many health benefits of tea, and surely it’s a lot easier to add a tasty no-calorie drink to any diet than it is to remove whole food groups or cut back on calories!
